I was surprised when my three-year-old daughter came to me with her sad little face and showed me her broken baby doll with no arms. She remained silent when I asked her about the missing arms. My mum overheard our conversation and told me what happened to the wretched doll.

Aliya usually takes a nap with my mum in the afternoon. Yesterday, she refused to sleep and decided to play with her baby doll on my mum’s bed. Aliya was swinging the baby doll when it hit my mum right smack in her face just below her right eye. The doll’s head is hard and it hit her face with a loud thud. My mum screamed in pain and her first reaction was to take the doll and rip out the arms.

Both my mum and Aliya shed tears. My mum was in pain and Aliya was very sad about her broken doll. I believe she did not mean to hurt her grandma. Anyway, Aliya apologized to my mum, put on an angelic face and asked for a new doll. I would have refused to get her a new one, but my mum gave in and promised to buy it for her. Sigh…

The phone rang while I was in bathroom this morning. Poor Wari who was still sleeping had to get up to answer the call. It stopped ringing just as he was about to reach the phone. Thinking it was a wrong number, he almost fell asleep again when the phone rang once more. This time, the phone rang two times before the person on the other end hung up. It rang again the third time, two rings and stop. Frustrated, he waited for it to ring again and quickly picked the phone up. It was my sister-in-law (my brother’s wife). When asked why she called in such a manner, her excuse was that if the person did not answer within two rings, it could mean that the phone is spoilt or the other party is on another line. Something is wrong with her. Who in the right mind would call, wait for two rings, hang up and call again repetitively? Hmm…

on Prison Break. I finished watching the whole of season one in less than two weeks during my one month leave in August. I’m fascinated with the mind-boggling blueprint tattoo on Michael Scofield’s sexy body. He tattooed his body as part of the plan to save his brother from death sentence at Fox River State Penintentiary. I’ve now caught up with the latest episode which ended with one of the fugitives being killed in cold blood by FBI agent Alexander Mahone. I believe this show is even better than Lost. Go watch it…

Just to let you know, my earache got worse yesterday, but I still managed to attend lecture and tutorial in the evening. The pain was more intense as I was fasting in the daytime and therefore, I couldn’t take any medication to reduce the swelling and ease the pain.

When I reached home at night, I quickly took some painkillers and anti-inflammatory medicine which almost immediately eased the pain and reduced the swelling. This morning, I woke up and felt much better because my fever is gone and the throbbing in my ears had stopped. It’s a good thing because I don’t really like to visit the doctor.

My earache is not getting any better. In fact, I believe it’s getting worse and now, my throat is affected too. I’m coming down with a fever and my ear is throbbing badly especially since I’ve been using the phone a lot today. The air-con in the office is so cold. I’m sitting here alone in the cubicle because all my collegues had left the office. It’s my turn to lock the office up at 8.30 pm. I can’t wait to get home and take a warm shower. If the pain doesn’t subside, I’m going to see the doctor tomorrow.

Just great, I’ve got an ear infection. It bugs me because I can’t dig my ear or else it’s going to get worse. The internal part of my ear is swollen, itchy and throbbing with pain. It somewhat feels like something is going to explode inside my ear. The last time I had it, I ended up at the hospital as the infection became so bad that I had a very high fever. I don’t really feel like doing anything right now, but I’ve got to get started on my term paper and assignment. Sigh…

This year, I got an Oreo chocolate ice cream cake for my birthday. It’s the best birthday cake I’ve ever tasted. Well, it’s so good that I almost forgot how old I am this year. Anyway, I took the day off to spend it with my family. What’s better than celebrating it with your family, right?

Just out of curiosity, I tried Wari’s Biore cleansing strips pore pack for men. It’s in a dark blue box with a picture of a man with the nose strip. Guess what? The product didn’t work on me. Perhaps, my nose was not wet enough when I applied the strip. There was nothing on the strip when I pulled it off. I was amazed when Wari used it and almost the whole strip was covered with icky black stuff called blackheads. Conclusion, I don’t have any blackheads on my nose.

Just so you know, I was on one month paid leave in August. Time really flies when you’re having a good time. My family and I went to Australia for a holiday. We stayed at our friend’s house near Cogee Beach in Sydney. It was winter so the weather was really cold and sometimes wet. Surprisingly, my three-year-old, Aliya, enjoyed playing in the cold weather. I will post some pictures of her soon. She likes to pose and smile for the camera.

It’s good to be back. After pestering him for the past few months, Wari finally paid for a hosting service for our subtlehints.net. I actually wanted to blog ages ago, but the site was always down. Apparently, the previous guy hosting it was uncontactable. So far, the service we are using now is pretty okay. I’ve decided to forget about my old postings and start from scratch. It’s still kind of messy around here because I’m not used to WordPress. Let me play around with it some more…
